Precision Cancer Diagnostics: Strategies for Harmonisation and Implementation
Lead Contact
Gro Live FagerengProject brief
Our goal is to facilitate access to high quality diagnostics and clinical decision support systems across aspiring and established CCCs in Europe. Our activities support harmonised processes from sampling to clinical decision making. We invest in and connect people involved in molecular diagnostics and treatment decisions. Ultimately, advances in diagnostics processes open an expanded treatment space for patients. When we invest in policies, processes and people across European hospitals, we promote more equitable access to quality care. Furthermore, our combined efforts make Europe an attractive partner for innovation in healthcare.

Our activities
Webinar series - Open webinars showcase best practices, promote harmonisation, involve key partners and build our network in a way that is both dynamic and sustainable.
Educational and Expert seminars - Our subtask provides educational and opportunities and expert seminars to build and retain our workforce in the diagnostic pipeline. We are annually organising free seminars with leading diagnostics experts.
Site visits to build capacity and promote excellence - We facilitate peer learning visits among network partners. Diagnostics staff visit leading CCCs to discuss practical ways to accelerate the uptake of novel diagnostics, expanding access to more patients, and connecting more patients to trials.
Testing practical solutions - Establishing procedures to enable omics-based ring tests to support the analytic and molecular tumour board workflows within the European network of CCCs
Digital platform - Our subtask is committed to contributing to the Collaborative platform where our subtask will share best practices, guidelines, SOPs, hosts curriculum. This platform will provide a community forum where CCC staff can exchange and solve problems.
Patient involvement - Our dedicated Patient Advisory Group ensures that our work is relevant for and accessible to patients and caregivers.
Collaborating with Joint Actions - Through dialogue and joint publications, we strive to align with JANE2, JAPCM, ECAN+ and others to promote complementarity.
