WP8 - Better Together: Building collaborative networks to transform cancer care in Europe

On 2–3 July 2025, we gathered in Tromsø for the Alignment Workshop on Collaboration and Synergies for Network Activities within EUnetCCC.

The workshop focused on four main objectives:

·       Breaking the silos – raising awareness about how WP8 is developing thematic networks based on Comprehensive Cancer Centres and involving all EUnetCCC leaders as partners and ambassadors.

·       Joint aims and challenges – improving the shared understanding of how we can contribute to developing institutional networks, implementing the CCC concept, engaging in strategic external partnerships and pursuing common goals.

·       Making each other better – exploring cross-collaboration and synergies between WP8 and other Work Packages.

·       Looking ahead – learning from joint experiences to strengthen future work.

Participants emphasised the value of collaboration as a way to build connections, promote inclusion and ensure that everyone can benefit from shared knowledge and awareness of each other’s activities.

The discussions underlined that we are one united team working towards a common goal, with the potential to achieve even greater impact through collective commitment and continuous learning.

By proactively exchanging information across all Work Packages, EUnetCCC is building a strong foundation to advance cancer care throughout Europe.

One of the patient representatives present at the workshop welcomed our commitment to this mission and to building a future where Comprehensive Cancer Centres are a reality across Europe.
