EUnetCCC | WP8 Collegial Interview — CAUSA at IOCN

This week, we are pleased to welcome colleagues from *Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca (CAUSA)to IOCN for the continuation of our WP8 collegial interview process.

Over two days of structured exchange, the visit combines institutional dialogue, clinical discussions and direct engagement with professionals and patient representatives — reflecting the core purpose of collegial interviews: peer learning across Comprehensive Cancer Centres.

Day 1 focuses on immersion and dialogue

•⁠  ⁠Institutional presentation and strategic overview
•⁠  ⁠Guided tour of clinical and research facilities
•⁠  ⁠In-depth interviews with medical leadership
•⁠  ⁠Dedicated sessions with nursing staff
•⁠  ⁠Meetings with patient representatives and associations

Day 2 centres on reflection and system learning

•⁠  ⁠Joint working session on governance, organisation and leadership
•⁠  ⁠Review of preliminary observations with the coordination team
•⁠  ⁠Discussions with Hematology staff
•⁠  ⁠Bilateral CAUSA–IOCN exchange
•⁠  ⁠Synthesis and feedback session

Collegial interviews are not evaluations — they are structured peer exchanges. They create space for transparent discussion on governance models, leadership, patient involvement, interdisciplinary collaboration and system integration.

By hosting this visit, IOCN continues its engagement within EUnetCCC to strengthen European collaboration and contribute to a more coherent cancer care pathway — from prevention to survivorship.
